Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV is one of 29 intermediate units throughout Pennsylvania, which were created in 1971 to provide services to school districts in a ways that create cost savings and efficiencies in the delivery of services and programs for students and staff. The Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV plays an important role in providing substantial support services to the administrators and teachers in the 27 school districts that comprise IU IV.
Our staff of 560 employees serves 27 school districts, 60 nonpublic schools, 3 career and technical centers and 1 charter school in Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties. I am very proud to work with our staff here at MIU IV and I am thankful for all the people who support our board of directors and our school superintendents. Together we will continue to do important things for students and staff and continue to make a difference!
As the Executive Director of MIU IV, I will strive to keep our staff focused on our vision of being an organization that is cohesive, communicative, proactive, data-informed, data-driven, and highly accountable.
Above is a link to my monthly News & Notes which I write to help you keep current with PDE, MIU IV and area School Districts.
