Since 2001, schools have contracted with MIU IV's Distance Education Program to provide online learning for selected students. Students benefiting from the program include:
  • Students in alternative education programs.
  • Children involved in homebound education.
  • Students in need of curriculum
    supplements.
  • Children who are home schooled.
  • Students that have been suspended
    or expelled.
  • Students with special needs.
  • Students in need of credit recovery.

How to Enroll
Student enrollment is at the recommendation of the school district superintendent only.

Upon full or part-time enrollment, information that reviews expectations, policies and procedures will be presented to students.

Students will receive an initial assessment that will help create an individualized learning path if needed. Student’s progress and achievement will be monitored and assessed throughout their enrollment in the program.

Students participating in the MIU IV Distance Education Program will do so via a computer at their school or from their home depending on the need circumstances.

School districts may enroll students in this online program while students remain in their home school district.
