Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV has distinguished itself by:

Toward this end, Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV has established eight themes in information technology support:

to provide strong, secure information technology infrastructure and architecture that is reliable, adaptable, scalable and driven by changing technological requirements,

to provide students, faculty, and staff with support that will both allow and encourage the effective use of information technology,

to provide centralized management to ensure timely renewals, cost containment, and effective monitoring,

to provide opportunities for all area faculty and staff to extend their knowledge of and skills with information technology to meet their particular needs,

to deliver timely and effective responses to school requirements through teamwork,

to provide vision, leadership, and a framework for evaluating emerging technologies and implementing proven technology solutions,

to develop and maintain technically skilled staff who are competent in current and emerging information technology, and

to encourage and support the use of information technology in teaching and learning.
